What style of yoga do you offer?Visit our classes page for detailed descriptions of each style and to view our class schedule. Please note that even within a specific style, each teacher teaches from their own experience, so it is a good idea to check out the teacher bios to get an understanding of where they are coming from. We recommend that you try a variety of classes and teachers until you find a practice that you jive with.
What if I have never tried yoga?We all have to start somewhere. You don't need to be flexible or strong or an "expert" meditator to practice yoga. All you have to do is show up.
To sign up for regular classes (including basics), check our class schedule to find a time that works for you, then either sign up online or give us a call at (718) 384-2097 and we will be happy to help you.
How do I prepare for class?Check out our class schedule to find current class offerings, or contact us to find the perfect class for you. You can bring your own mat or rent one from us for a small fee. It is always a good idea to bring a towel. Be sure to wear close fitting and comfortable clothing that allows free movement. Take a shower before you arrive, wear clean clothes, no perfumes or scented lotions please. Last thing -- arrive on an empty stomach.
We want your experience at Sangha to be as relaxed as possible. On your first visit, we will give you two forms to fill out. If you prefer, you can also print the forms below and bring them with you before your first class.
Should I come to practice if I am sick? You should practice at home if you are sick, rest completely if you have a fever.
